Hornblower During the Crisis and Two Stories "Hornblower's Temptation" and "The Last Encounter."
by [Nautical Fiction] Forester, C.S.

Publisher Information:
Little, Brown, Boston: 1967.

A Fine copy in a Near Fine unclipped dust jacket, with light edge wear to the spine. This novel is the final Hornblower adventure which Forester was writing when he died. Though he did not finish it, he did leave notes which lay out the direction of the crucial action in this story and these "notes" are included at the conclusion the story he had completed. There are two Hornblower stories that are included in this volume: one concerns his meeting with a "dangerous Irish rebel," and the second shows Hornblower in his old age and his meeting with a young man who is to become Napolean III.
