This volume, compiled by Fisher's biographer, collects 57 short articles that Fisher wrote over a fifty-year writing career on a variety of subjects including travel, fashion, people, places and of course food. These pieces were previously published in some notable magazines like Gourmet, Bon Appetit, Atlantic Monthly, Harper's Bazaar and the New Yorker but also in some more obscure publications and none of them have previously appeared in book form.
