Publisher Information:
Kent State University Press,, Kent:: 2005..

A Fine tight copy in a Fine dust jacket. Between late 1953 and early 1954 Hemingway made his final safari to Kenya. In January of 1954, Hemingway sustained serious injuries from a plane crash. While recovering in Havana, he began writing what he called his "African Book" , a novel, which is here retitled "Under Kilimanjaro. The book is adventuresome, comedic, and a thoughtful recounting of his last safari. This is the last of Hemingway's manuscripts to be published in its entirety since his death, without editorial distortion, speculation or unsupported textual improvements.
