Dearest Andrew: Letters from V. Sackville-West to Andrew Reiber 1951-1962.
by [Literary Letters] Sackville-West, V.

Publisher Information:
Scribners, New York: 1979.

A Fine copy in a Near Fine, unclipped dj with two creases to the front flap. In 1951 Andrew Reiber, a Maine resident, wrote to Ms Sackville-West asking if a young friend of his might visit her garden in Kent, England. What evolved from this innocent inquiry was a long distance correspondence with Sackville-West for the last 11 years of her life. While their friendship began with their mutual interest in West's public gardens, their correspondence lead to discussions of friends and family life.
