A Very Good copy in a paperback binding with light edge wear. The author chronicles many of the major writers who lived in, worked in or wrote about Los Angeles. Among the authors and book people discussed, are Charles Bukowski, Henry Miller, Ken Kesey, Charles Lummis, Nathanael West, Robinson Jeffers, Malcolm Lowry, Thomas Mann, Upton Sinclair, John Steinbeck, Aldous Huxley, Jack London, Theodore Dreiser, and many others. Ironically. This edition devotes only a five-word mention of Bukowski as a literary figure in Los Angeles. In the revised 1991 edition, Bukowski name spanned approximately 13 pages.
