Letters from the Lost Generation: Gerald and Sara Murphy and Friends.
by [Paris in the 1920s] Miller, Linda Patterson (editor).

Publisher Information:
Rutgers University Press, New Brunswick: 1991.

A Fine tight copy in a Near Fine bright dust jacket with a sticker shadow to the front panel. This volume brings together one of the most famous literary, artistic and social sets in modernist times. Gerald and Sara Murphy were at the center of the expatriate community in Paris in the Twenties that included Fitzgerald, Hemingway, Picasso, Dorothy Parker, Dos Passos, Woolcott, Benchley and others of the period. The couple was the model for Dick and Nicole Diver in Fitzgerald's "Tender is the Night", but more importantly they were the friends to the most artistic and creative gathering of individuals from all corners of the world. This collection of letters shows just how deeply rooted those friendships were.
