Travels with Charley: In Search of America.
by Steinbeck, John.

Publisher Information:
Viking Press, New York: 1962.

A Fine copy in a Very Good plus, price-clipped dust jacket with a small hole to the spine fold and a small chip to the heel of the spine. This memoir chronicles John Steinbeck's trip across America, beginning in New York, through Maine, across the midwest, through Montana to Washington, down the Pacific Coast, into Texas and finally through the American southeast. He was 58 when he took this trip, and his only companions were his loyal dog Charley and trailer Rocinante. Many of his observations are still poignant and ring true some fifty years after he made them.
