A Fine copy in brown cloth binding. This is copy number 28 of only 519 copies published. of this facsimile reprint from the original 1888 edition. The original copy used for this publication belonged to Thomas W. Prosch (Prosch was a key early journalist, historian, and civic booster in Washington state).which was inscribed to him by Arthur A. Denny. (inscription in the original copy has been reproduced in facsimile for this edition). In this slim volume, Denny describes the early settling of Seattle as well as some of the first settlers and developers. The 1888 edition was reportedly printed in approximately 300 copies, none for sale, most which perished in publisher's office during the Great Seattle Fire of 1889.
