Artist and writer Nina Hamnett was a prominent figure in Paris in the Twenties who was known affectionately as the Queen of Bohemia. She knew all the major artists in Paris and often modeled for them. She also made and decorated fabrics, clothes, mural, furniture and rugs at the Omega Workshops directed by Roger Fry, Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant.
