Highlands: Jargon Books, 1958. First Printing of the First Edition. A Near Fine copy in stiff pictorial paperback binding. This notebook was most likely started during Miller's air-conditioned nightmare trip across America before he took residence in Big Sur, California. It was during this road trip that Miller made important friendships, further pursued his love of watercolor painting, astrology and the writer Rimbaud. This is one of only 2000 copies published in Miller's facsimile handwriting. Item #23254
