In 1953, Miller at the top of his literary acclaim, stopped off in Barcelona to visit an old friend--Alfred Perles. Perles was part of Miller's inner circle of friends in Paris between 1930 and 1938. In the intervening years, the two friends had dramatic life changes and their "reunion" provided them the opportunity to remember the good days in Paris and savour the current world they were living in. 'Reunion In Barcelona' in a nutshell is a meeting in a little-known city between two writers who, according to their own accounts, spent the best part of their time laughing their heads of.
