In 1615, sailor, soldier and explorer Samuel de-Champlain emerged from the French River and looked upon the uncharted waters of Lake Huron, the first of the Great Lakes discovered by white men. The author, tells the stories of explorers searching for the Western Sea and a way to the Indies.
