A Near Fine copy with two tape shadows on the flyleaf and a previous owner name in a Near Fine price clipped dust jacket. Laid in is a "with complimenbts" card from the publisher. These stories were written before and during the First World War and brought Hesse into conflict with supporters of the war, his country and its government. The stories in Strange News from Another Star don't allow for an essentially realistic interpretaion.
